Reelwire

Built by somebody who had the problem

Reelwire started as a private tool. I was publishing the same market numbers every day across several accounts, in several formats and more than one language, and the work was not the thinking, it was the retyping. Every clip was correct and every clip took an hour.

So the thing that ships now is the thing that fixed it: one composition, filled by live data, drawn in every aspect ratio and every language at once, and published without anybody opening an editor. The template is written once. The numbers arrive on their own.

It is made by one person. Tim Zierer, sole developer, working on this full time. That means no support queue, no tier that gets answered first, and no roadmap written by somebody who has never used it. It also means it is honest about what it does not do yet, which is the part of the page most companies leave out.

Where it stands

Reference templates, in every market variant

Aspect ratios and languages from one composition

What it refuses to do

It does not invent the content. A template receives a brand, a channel and the data. It cannot read which customer it belongs to, and it cannot be made to behave differently for one of them, because a template that could would eventually be written to.

It does not write your copy with a model. The words on a clip come from your data and your brand document. Generated video about nothing in particular is cheap and it looks it; the argument for this product is consistency, and consistency is the thing a generator cannot promise.

It does not train on what you put in. Your feeds, your brands and your clips are yours. They are not a dataset.
